Between December 1 and December 10, Nio was 4,400, Xpeng 3,900, Li Auto 13,000, Tesla 23,500 and BYD 64,400 units.

For the week of December 4 to December 10, Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) had weekly sales of 10,400 units, the company said today on Weibo.

As before, Li Auto didn’t explain the basis for calculating the weekly sales, but apparently, they were insurance registrations. The company suspended sharing those numbers in May, but has since resumed sharing them.

Li Auto’s insurance registrations were up 8.33 percent last week from 9,600 the week before. The company’s three models currently on sale are the Li L7, Li L8 and Li L9, all of which are extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), essentially plug-in hybrids.

The Li L7 had 4,300 insurance registrations last week, the Li L8 3,000, and the Li L9 3,100, according to Li Auto.

Between December 1 and December 10, insurance registrations for Li Auto vehicles were 13,000 units.

Li Auto delivered a record 41,030 vehicles in November, surpassing the previous record of 40,422 in October.

Li Auto guided for fourth-quarter vehicle deliveries to be in the 125,000 to 128,000 range when it reported third-quarter earnings on November 9.

Insurance registrations of Nio (NYSE: NIO) vehicles in China last week amounted to 2,900 units, down 21.62 percent from 3,700 units the week before.

Between December 1 and December 10, a total of 4,400 Nio vehicles were registered for insurance.

Nio delivered 15,959 vehicles in November, virtually flat from 16,074 in October.

Nio earlier this month guided for fourth-quarter vehicle deliveries in the range of 47,000 to 49,000, meaning it expected to deliver between 14,967 and 16,967 vehicles in December.

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) came in at 2,600 units last week, down 45.83 percent from 4,800 units the week before.

Between December 1 and December 10, Xpeng had 3,900 vehicle insurance registrations.

The company delivered a record 20,041 vehicles in November, its second consecutive month of more than 20,000 units.

Xpeng guided for fourth-quarter deliveries of between 59,500 and 63,500 vehicles in its third-quarter earnings report released on November 15.

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) saw 15,400 insurance registrations in China last week, down 12.5 percent from 17,600 the week before.

Between December 1 and December 10, a total of 23,500 Tesla vehicles were registered for insurance in China.

Tesla sold 82,432 China-made vehicles in November, including 65,504 sold in China and 16,928 exported, according to data released earlier this month by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

Insurance registrations for BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY) vehicles in China last week totaled 47,400 units, down 15.66 percent from 56,200 in the previous week.

Between December 1 and December 10, that figure stood at 64,400 units for BYD.

BYD sold 301,903 NEVs in November, up 31.02 percent year-on-year, and essentially flat from October’s 301,833, according to figures it announced on December 1.

BYD’s premium brand Denza was at 1,700 units last week, down 51.43 percent from 3,500 in the previous week.

Zeekr was at 1,900 units last week, down 34.48 percent from 2,900 the week before.

Leapmotor was at 3,700 last week, down 13.95 percent from 4,300 the week before.

Neta was at 2,100 units last week, down 32.26 percent from 3,100 units the week before.
