Plug-in electric car sales in China continue to increase and in August reached an unprecedented level of 750,000 units. According to EV Volumes’ data, shared by Jose Pontes, 750,735 new passenger plug-in electric cars were registered in China in August, which is roughly 36 percent more than a year ago. Volkswagen on Friday confirmed plans for a new electric version of the Golf hatchback, to be built in Wolfsburg, Germany, starting later in the decade.
