Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently had an opportunity to visit the Tesla Giga Berlin-Brandenburg plant in Grünheide near Berlin, Germany. Honda is taking a page out of just about every other major automotive manufacturer’s playbook by debuting its first electric bicycle, the Honda e-MTB Concept. The bike was just shown off at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, where it joined several other futuristic and/or brand-widening debuts from other leading Japanese motorcycle companies and automakers. EVgo follows Tesla’s footsteps by introducing a prefabricated charging infrastructure to streamline deployment. The company has announced that the new prefabricated DC fast chargers are expected to cut average station installation time in half and save an average of 15 percent in station construction costs. The new design is scalable, with a starting point of six individual charging stalls. Volvo Cars USA reports that its car sales in the United States increased in October by 19 percent year-over-year to 11,296. During the first ten months of the year, sales amounted to 103,421 (up 27% year-over-year). Volvo’s plug-in electric car sales outpaced this growth, but only slightly. Last month, rechargeable car sales amounted to 3,041 (up 20 percent year-over-year), which is 26.9 percent of the brand’s total volume.
